A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the bill from Reid, Middleton & Associates covering en ineering on LID ,T106 in the amount of '450.00 be paid. Motion carried. It was moved by Councilnan Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Tuson that the bill from the Tribune -Review for printing in connection with LID ; 101 in the amount of 3127.54 be paid. Motion carried. It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the bill for �164025 for printing costs on LID tl03 be paid to the Tribune -Review. Motion carried, A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the bill for printing costs in connection with LID ,A104 for $132.58 be paid to the Tribune -Review. Motion carried. It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the regular monthly bills be maid and warrants drawn on the proper accounts. Motion carried. It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the following bills connected with the Ballinger Trunk sewer be paid: Seattle General Construction, estimate ;�1 for 313,007.18; Hall & Bennett for attorney fees, 3333000; Reid, Middleton & Associ^.tes, �150o00 for engineering in connection with preparation of Agreement; Reid, Middleton & Associates, 35,708000 for engineering on project; Tribune -Review, 3153039 for printing costs, and David Paulson, 3127.10 for securing easements. Councilman Tuson made the motion, seconded by Councilman Lambe that Ordinance r'912 b,e passed, creating a trunk sanitary sewer service charge. Attorney Bennett reported the dismissal of the Quo Irlarranto action on the Talbot Park annexation area by the City of Lynnwood. It was moved by Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Tuson that the PUD be authorized to commence a study for future authorization of street lights in the north Edmonds annexed Talbot Park area. Motion carried. A motion was made by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Christensen that Ordinance 4914 be passed, providing for the taking by condemnation action, if needed, ofcpro ert for the Ballinger Trunk sewer line. Motion carried. np P Y o Attorney Bennett advised the council on the necessity for having both a long term and a short term mayor position placed on the forthcoming ballot. It was moved by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that th9,.lstreet grades as established by the City Engineer on 9L` Avenue, 12Ll Avenue, and 14Lh St.from 8L, to 9L1 be approved. Motion carried. A motion was made by Couhcilman Harrison, seoonded by Councilman 'Slye to sec the Planning Commission to amend the comprehensive plan to establish a 60 ft. road ar, 76L2 W., north from the King County line to the north City limits. Motion carried. A Teen -Age Dance request for Friday evenings was received from Robin Hood Lanes, and the Council decided that permission be granted them to operate under the rules of our City of Edmonds Code under Chapter 4.40, Public Dances. A request received from Robin Hood Lanes for the use of coin operated children's games resulted in a motion by Councilman Sorensen, seconded by Councilman Slye that the request be denied as it would be in conflict with the City of Edmonds ordinance now in effect banning the use of pinbgll machines where minors are allowed. Hotion carried. A written request from Tri-City Sand & Gravel for a crane track crossing was referred to the Street Committee for study. The November .later Report was read. There was no further business, and the meeting adjourned. City Clerk December 19, 1961 Mayor Re-ular meeting was called to order by Mayor McGinness with all councilmen present. Bids were opened for supplying the 1962 requirements of gasoline for city vehicles. • They were: Union Oil Company .258 for High Test .2248 for regular Standard Oil Co. .2624 for Chevron Supreme .2274 for regular Chevron It was moved by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Lambe that the bid on gasoline be awarded to the low bidder, Union Oil Co. for .258 for high test and .2248 for regular, as per contract. I•lotion carried. Bids were opened for supplying the 1962 requirements of fuel oil for city buildings. They were: Diesel Oil Sales .129 Union Oil Co. .120 It was moved by Councilman Tuson, seconded by Councilman Lambe that the bid on fuel oil be a?rarded to Union Oil Co. at .120 per gallon, as per contract. Motion carried. Het -ring was held on Emergency Ordinance A 10. There were no protests, and a motion was made by Councilman Slye, seconded by Councilman Sorensen that Emergency Ordinance ;'910 be passed, ap_?ropriating extra funds for the 1961 budget.
