A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND THE AMENDMENT OF OFFICIAL MAP "A" (DESIGNATED THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN) AND OFFICIAL MAP "B" (DESIGNATED THE ZONING MAP) OF THE
CITY OF EDMONDS BY REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-8 (ONE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL)
TO R-C (RESTRICTED COMMERCIAL) IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANNING COMMISSION FILE
NO. R-6-64.
WHEREAS the 17th da;,r of June, 1964, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and
time set for public hearing to amend the Zoning Code and Official Maps of the
City of Edmonds by rezoning from R-8 (One Family Residential) to R-C
(Restricted Commercial) property legallSr described as:
All that portion of Tract 2 & 3, Lake McAleer Five Acre Tracts,
according to plat thereof recorded in Volume 5 of plats, page 48,
records of Snohomish County Wash--igton, that is presently zoned
R-8 and adjacent to Zone H B. as shown on Official Map B-2 and
more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Tract 2:; thence North 150 feet,
thence E 163 feet.,; thence North 163 feet; thence East 170 feet;
thence North to the North line of Tract 2; thence East to the NE
corner thereof; thence South to a point 135 feet North of the
South line of the North half of Tract 3; thence East 130 feet;
thence South 13.5 feet; thence East 21.46 feet; thence South to
the South line of Tract 3; thence West to the point of Eeginning.
WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing to consider
rezoning of said area, it appeared that proper notice and publication had
been effected;; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding
neighborhood zoning, it appears that zoning classification of R-C, Restricted
Commercial, is the most consistent with the advantageous development and
appropriate use of said property and the health, safety, morals and general
welfare of the public;
NOIiJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City
of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that
the above described property be zoned R-C and that Official Map "A" (designated
the Comprehensive Plan) of the City of Edmonds be so amended by adding thereto
Engineer's Drawing No. A - 4-/ ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds
that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that Official
Map "Bn (designated Zoning Map) of the City of Edmonds be so amended by
