RESOLUTION NO. 121
A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND THE DENIAL OF THE PETITION TO REZONE FROM RML
(MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY) TO BN (NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS) THAT
CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-13-65.
WHEREAS, the 19th day of May, 1965, at 8:00 p.m. (and same was
carried over to a recessed meeting on May 26, 1965) was the date and
time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning
Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RML (Multiple Residential
Low Density) to BN (Neighborhood Business) certain property located west
of the Five Corners intersection at 5th S.E. and 17th Aide. So., and
legally described as:
All that portion of Lots 18 and 19, Block 5, Alderwood Manor
No. 9, according to the plat thereof recorded in Vol. 10 of
Plats, Page 6, records of Snohomish County, Washington,
described as follows:
Beginning at the SW corner of said Lot 19; thence N 64043'00"
E. along the South line of said Lot 19, a distance of 230.00
ft.; thence N 7000'00" W, 162.50 ft.; thence N 64043'00" E, to
an intersection with the westerly margin of Main Street (County
Rd. survey No. 1204); thence Northwesterly, along said westerly
margin to an intersection with a line which bears N 64043'00"
E, from a point on the West line of said Lot 19, which point
lies a distance of 276.20 ft. North from the SW corner thereof;
thence S 64043'00" W. to an intersection with the line common
to said Lots 18 and 19, thence North, 336.12 feet to the NE
corner of said Lot 18; thence West 270.00 ft. to the NW corner
of said Lot 18; thence South, along the West line of said Lot 18,
597.88 ft.; thence East 120.00 ft.; thence North 105.08 ft.;
thence East 150.00 ft. to an intersection with the line common
to said Lots 18 and 19; thence South, along said common line
120.00 ft. to the Point of Beginning; and
WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing to
consider rezoning of said area, it appeared that proper notice and publi-
cation had been effected; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and
surrounding neighborhood zoning, it appeared that zoning classification
BN would not be consistent with the most advantageous development and
appropriate use of said property at this time;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the
City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of

said City that the petition to rezone the herein described property from
RML to BN be denied.
