RESOLUTION NO. 122_
A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND THE AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE
CITY OF EDMONDS BY REZONING FROM RML (MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY) TO
BN (NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING
COMMISSION FILE NO. R-6-65.

WHEREAS, the 19th day of May, 1965, at 8:00 p.m. and the same was
carried over to a recessed meeting on May 26, 1965, was the date and time
set for public hearing to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of
Edmonds by rezoning from RML (Multiple Residential Low Density) to BN
(Neighborhood Business) the property legally described as:
All that portion of Lot 19, Block 5, Alderwood Manor No. 9
according to plat thereof recorded in Volume 10 of plats,
page 6, records of Snohomish County, Washington, described
as follows:
Commencing at the southwest corner of said Lot 19; thence N
640431E along the northerly margin of Bowdoin Way 230.00
feet; thence N 70001W 162.50 feet; thence N 640431E 18.83
feet to the westerly margin of Main Street thence north-
westerly along said westerly margin of Main Street to
its intersection with a line parallel to and 198.0 feet
northerly of the northerly margin of Bowdoin Way; thence
S 640431W along said parallel line to the west line of
said Lot 19; thence southerly along said west line 198.0
feet to the point of beginning; and
WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing to
consider rezoning of said area, it appeared that proper notice and publica-
tion had been effected; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and
surrounding neighborhood zoning, it appears that zoning classification of
BN (Neighborhood Business) is the most consistent with the advantageous
development and appropriate use of said property and the health, safety,
morals and general welfare of the public;
BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that
recommendation be made to the City Council of aaid City that the Official
Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds be so amended by designating the
property legally described above BN (Neighborhood Business).
