Resolution 129• JNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 129 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 12.15.140 OF THE EDMONDS CITY CODE BY EXTENDING THE PERIOD'OF ABATEMENT OF NON -CONFORMING USES OF PROPERTY UNDER THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. ZO-5-65. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS the 18th day of August, 1965, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time set for public hearing to amend Section 12.15.140 of the Official Zoning Ordinance of the City of Eddonds by extending the period of abatement of Non -Conforming Uses of Property; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing to consider said amendment, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of the proposed amendment, it was determined that the establishment of fifteen years after passage of the Official Zoning Ordinance for abatement of non -conforming uses in RS-20, RS-12, RSW-12, RS-8, RS-6, RD, RML, RMH or OS districts would be a more equitable requirement than the present five years; and WHEREAS it was further determined that the IP Zone should be added to Section 12.15.140 as a district in which non -conforming open use of land shall conform within three years; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that Section 12.15.140 of the Edmonds City Code be amended in accordance with the determinations herein set forth.
