Resolution 137• 0 PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 137 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND THE AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP AND THE COMPRE- HENSIVE PLAN OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS BY REZONING FROM RML (MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DESNITY) TO BN (NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NOS. R-15-65 AND CP-7-65. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS, the 15th day of September, 1965, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RML (Multiple Residential Low Density) to BN (Neighborhood Business) that property commonly known as the Southeast corner of 5th Ave. S.E. and 25th St. So., and legally described as: Lots 1, 2 and 3 of Forshee's Upland Tracts of Snohomish County, Washington, OR The West 52.16 feet and the North 116.35 feet of Lot 2, and all of Lot 3 of Forshee's Upland Tracts of Snohomish County, Washington; and WHEREAS, the same date and hour set forth above having been set for public hearing to consider the amendment of the Comprehensive Plan by designating as "Commercial" the property legally described above, it was agreed that hearings on both petitions be conducted simultaneously; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said hearings, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, there having been a similar petition for rezone of the smaller portion of property legally described above on an earlier date, and the Planning Commission having denied the petition in order that the property might be considered in depth, and the petitioners having been advised to make application for rezone of a more comprehensive area; and WHEREAS, the petitioner having complied by requesting rezone of the property legally described above, after due consideration of the property in depth and present existing use and surrounding neighborhood zoning, it was determined by the Planning Commission that in fact the rezone should be granted, but that said rezone should be limited to the smaller portion of property legally described above; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds be amended by rezoning from RML to BN the smaller portion of property described above; to -wit, The West 52.16 feet and the North 116.35 feet of Lot 2, and all of Lot 3 of Forshee's Upland Tracts of Snohomish County, Washington; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That recommendation be made to the City Council of the City of Edmonds that the Official Comprehensive Plan of said City be amended by designating as "Commercial" that same smaller portion of land herein - before legally described.
