Resolution 138• • PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 138 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND THE AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, SECTIONS 12.12.030, 12.13.050, 12.13.090 AND 12.12.260, TO PROVIDE NEW FRONT AND SIDE YARD REQUIREMENTS IN "RS't AND"RDI' CLASSIFIED PROPERTY, REDEFINING "BUILDING LINE", PROVIDING THAT EAVES SHALL NOT PROTRUDE MORE THAN THIRTY INCHES INTO ANY REQUIRED YARD, AND PROVIDING FRONT YARD REQUIREMENTS BE MEASURED FROM THE ACTUAL OR PROPOSED STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, WHICHEVER IS CLOSER TO THE BUILDING LINE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. ZO-11-65. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS, the 15th day of September, 1965, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time set for public hearing to consider the amendment of the Official Zoning Ordinance by changing front and side yard requirements in all RS, RD, and RM Residential Districts, and by redefining "Building Line"; and WHEREAS, the regular meeting of the Planning Commission of September 15, 1965 was recessed to the 22nd day of September, 1965, at 8:00 p.m., at which time said hearing was actually held; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said hearing, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of the proposed amendment, it was deter- mined that such amendment would benefit the citizens of the City of Edmonds; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that Sections 12.12.030, 12.13.050, 12.13.090 and 12.12.260 of the Edmonds City Code be amended to provide new front and side yard requirements in 'IRS and "RD" classified property, redefining "Building Line", providing that eaves shall not protrude more than thirty inches into any required yard, and providing front yard requirements be measured from the actual or proposed street right-of-way, whichever is closer to the building line, all in accordance with proposed ordinance set forth in File No. ZO-11-65.
