Resolution 141PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 141 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS BY REZONING FROM RS-8 (SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 8,000) TO BN (NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-20-65. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS, the 20th day of October, 1965, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RS-8 to BN the property legally described as follows: Lot 6, Block 3, Westgate Park Division #1; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said hearing to consider the amendment, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of present and proposed use, and surrounding neighborhood zoning, including consideration of the proposal to use the property for parking and access only for adjacent commercial use, it was determined that zoning of BN (Neighborhood Business) would be consistent with the most advantageous development and appropriate use of said property, and the health, welfare, and safety of the public; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of the City of Edmonds that the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds be amended by rezoning the property legally described above from RS-8 (Single Residential 8,000) to BN (Neighborhood Business).
