Resolution 147PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 147 WHEREAS, on the 30th day of September, 1965, Mrs. BARBARA ENGLER did resign from the City of Edmonds Planning Commission, and the said Commission desiring, in some small way, to try to express its public appreciation for her efforts, intellect, and graciousness which she had so long brought to the deliberations of the said Commission, and WHEREAS, the said Mrs. BARBARA ENGLER has served on the Commission since 1959, with considerable distinction, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that, by way of recommendation to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Edmonds, not only the Planning Commission of the said City, but the Right Honorable offices of the Mayor and the Council of the said City, shall and they do hereby ratify this Resolution applauding the past services to the City of Edmonds which have been rendered by Mrs. BARBARA ENGLER. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such Resolution shall b e spread in the Minutes of the Planning Commission, as well as the Minutes of the City Council of the City of Edmonds, and that the Mayor further shall direct that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to Mrs. ENGLER, as well as published in the Edmonds Tribune Review where the citizens of this community might have an opportunity to recognize, patently, one who has effectively and generously served her community. The seven years of service of Mrs. ENGLER in themselves might have independently gained the accolades of a grateful City; however, Mrs. ENGLER brought more than tenure to this City. Mrs. ENGLER brought to the Commission an intellectual curiosity, supplemented by an industrious nature, seldom embodied in one personage. She was singularly instrumental in the inception and develop- ment of the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code of the City of Edmonds. The loss of Mrs. ENGLER's services to the Planning Commission is offset only by the hope and the knowledge that Mrs. ENGLER shall participate in other community services in the future. It is with pride that this Resolution is submitted to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Edmonds. DATED this _ day of A&Z Ly, 1965. 14 <. Chester R.
