Resolution 149PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 149 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE DENIAL OF THE PETITION TO REZONE FROM RS-6 (SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 6,000) TO RMH (MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL HIGH DENSITY) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-21-65. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ WHEREAS, the 17th day of November, 1965, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RS-6 (Single Residential 6,000) to RMH (Multiple Residential High Density) certain property com- monly known as being located on the south side of Hemlock, easterly of 5th Ave. So., and legally described as follows: All that portion of the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Sec. 25, T27N, Range 3E, W.M., described as follows: Beginning at the SW corner of said SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4, thence along the West line of said subdivision for 396 feet; thence East 150' to the True Point of Beginning; thence cont. East 82.98 ft., thence North 117 ft. to the south line of Hemlock St.; thence West 82.98 ft.; thence South 117 ft. to the Point of Beginning; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding neighborhood zoning, it was deemed that in the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare, zoning classification of RMH would not be consistent with the most advantageous development and appropriate use of said property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the petition to rezone the herein described property from RS-6 to RMH be denied.
