Resolution 159PLANNING COMMISSION A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THAT THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZOVING MAP BY REZONING FROM RS-12 (SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 12,000 FT.) TO RS-6 (SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 6,000 FT.) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-24-65 BE DENIED. WHEREAS, the matter of amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RS-12 (Single Residential 12,000 ft.) to RS-6 (Single Residential 6,000 ft.) that area described as extending from 110 ft. north of Daley Street northerly to Casper Street and from 7th Ave. North to 8th Avenue North proposed came on for public heaving on the 16th day of February, 1966; and WHEREAS, on the original public hearing date of the 19th day of January, 1966, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding neighborhood zoning, as well as the inadequacy of streets, drainage, and sewage facilities at the present time, it was deemed that in the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare, the area described herein should remain zoned RS-12: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that thw proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map by rezoning from RS-12 to RS-6 the property herein described be denied.
