Resolution 016RESOLUTION NO. 16
OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS.
WHEREAS, certain property is proposed for annexation to the City of Edmonds,
effective February 17, 1959, and is in need of zoning, and
WHEREAS, the public hearing on the proposed zoning of the said property here-
inafter identified, was held on February 16, 1959, after proper notice was given by
posting and publication as required by law, and
WHEREAS, the zoning of the said property will require an addition to the offi-
cial zoning map of Edmonds, Washington, dated December 3, 1957,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED:
That the planning commission of the City of Edmonds hereby recommends the
adoption of that certain map dated February 16, 1958, file No. Z-e' , zoning the
said property as the same appears on said map, three copies of which map are attached
hereto and made a part hereof, and three copies of which map shallbe attached to the
official zoning plan and official zoning map of the City of Edmonds and made a part
thereof.
That the property to be so zoned is described as follows:
Block four (4), Seattle Heights Division No. 4, in Section 20, Township
27 north, range 4 east, W. M. , according to plat thereof, records of
Snohomish County, Washington, TOGETHER with 74th Ave. W., 76th
Ave. W. and 210th St. S.W. adjacent thereto; situate in Snohomish County,
State of Washington
That the reasons for zoning the addition as recommended are as follows:
1. That the property zoned R-6A is adapted to residential and multiple
residence dwellings and is contiguous to property which is already zoned R-6A,
and such zoning will make for better development of the property.
2. That the property zoned R-C is in harmony with the development of
adjacent property and will reach its best development under such zoning.
3. That the proposed zoning is very similar to the county zoning previously
existing in the area of the annexation.
4. That the people who attended the public hearing were, for the most part,
in favor of the zoning as recommended by the Planning Commission on the map at-
tacked hereto.
5. That said addition, if zoned as recommended, will be in harmony with the
comprehensive plan of land use in the City of Edmonds and for logical development
of the property in accordance with good planning principles.
DATED this 16th day of February, 1959.
