RESOLUTION NO. 160
A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE
DENIAL OF THE PETITION TO REZONE FROM RS-6 SINGLE RESIDLNTIALL 6,000 FT.
TO RMH (MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL HIGH DENSITY) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED
IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-2-66.
WHEREAS, the 16th day of Februarys 1966, at 800 p.m., was the date
and time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning
Map of the City of Edmonds by rez wing from RS-6 (single Residential 60000
ft.) to RMH (Mkltiple Residential High Density) certain property commonly
known as being located on the north side of Hemlock Way approximately
120 feet east of Sth Avenue South, and legally described as follows:
Part of the NW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Sec. 25, T27H1 ME, W.H., described
as foliowat Beginning at the NW corner of Lot 7, homeland Addition
No. 2, according to plat thereof recorded in Vol. 15 of Plats, Page
97, records of anohoai ah County, Washington; thence along the Westerly
line of said lot, South 6017t73n West 40 ft.; thence South 0039' East
95.91 feat to a ,paint 15 feet south 0139' West frow the Ski corner of
said Lot 7; thence Kest 226 feet moo or less to a point south of the
NE corner of a tract conveyed to Russell L. Shaw and Lloyd R. Lichty
by deed recorded under auditorts file No. 1467356; thence north to the
SW corner of Lot 5, Replat of Howland Addition according to plat
thereof record in Volume 13 of Plats, Page 16; thence Easterly along
the South lire of the Replat of Homeland Addition 230 feet to the point
of Beginning. EXCEPT the South 15 feet thereof for road; and
i F EREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared
that proper notice and publication had been effected; and
WHEREAS* after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding
neighborhood zonings it was deemed that In the interest of the public health,
safety, and welfare, zoning classification of RMHH would not be consistent
With the most advantageous development and appropriate use of i---Jd property
at this time;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning; Commission of the City of
Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Counoil of said City that the
petition to amend the official Zoning; Map of the City of Edmonds by reWcrairg
from RS-6 to RKH the herein described property be denied,
