RESOLUTION NO. 161
A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE
AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING ASAP OF SAID CITY BY REZONING FROM RS-8
(SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 8,000 FT.) TO BC (COMMUNITY BUSINESS) THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMNISSIGN FILE; NO. R-1-66.
WHEREAS, the matter of amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the
City of Edmonds by rezoning from RS-8 (Single Residential. 8,000 ft.) to
BC (Community Business) the property legally described as Lots 5 and 6,
Blo k 1, and Lots 5 and 6, Block 20 Oliver PArk Addition, came on for
public hearing; on ,the 2nd day of Ksas ch, 1966 at 8 a 00 p.m. after being
continued from the 16th day of yebruary, 1966; and
WHEREAS,'on the 16th day of February, 1966 at 8s00 p.m., it appeared
that proper notice and publication of the hearing had been affected; and
WHEREAS,, after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding
neighborhood zoning, it was determined that in the interest of the public health,
safety, and welfare, zoning classification of BC would be consistent with the
most advantageous development and appropriate use of said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED .By the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that
the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds be amended to desi+nate as
Community Business the property legally described herein.
