Resolution 165F-1 0 PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 165 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY BY REZONING FROM RML TO BC THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-3-66. WHEREAS, the 16th day of March, 1966, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RML (Multiple Residential Low Density) to CG (General Commercial) certain property legally described as: The west 180 ft., more or less, of the North 3 acres of the North 1/2, Southeast 1/4 of Southeast 1/4 of Southeast 1/4, Section 30, Township 27 North, Range 4 E, W.M., except that part lying east of Highway 99, and except city street; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding neighborhood zoning, it was determined by the Planning Commission that the property described herein should be rezoned to a commercial classification, but that the zoning classification of BC (Community Business) rather than CG (General Commercial) would be consistent with the most advantageous develop- ment and appropriate use of said property; and WHEREAS, it was further determined that additional street right-of-way was needed by the City from the westerly boundary of the said property; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds be amended by rezoning to BC (Community Business) the property legally described herein; provided that at the time of enactment of said amendment, the aforesaid street right-of-way, as may be required by the City Engineer, has been deeded to the City of Edmonds.
