Resolution 017RESOLUTION NO. 17 OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS WHEREAS, within recent years the corporate limits of the City of Edmonds have become considerably extended, and WHEREAS, such extension has brought into the City of Edmonds certain areas requiring land uses not contemplated by the said City in its comprehensive zoning plan at its inception, and WHEREAS, the need for a new use district has arisen, and to investigate and report on such a new use district, a committee of the Planning Commission was appointed with Dan. Miller as Chairman, and WHEREAS, after considerable study relating to the needs of newly annex- ed areas as well as to the needs of areas being proposed for inclusion within the said City, bearing in mind at all times the need for correlation of existing land uses, the committee of the Planning Commission submitted its report to said Commission, and WHEREAS, after the submission of said report public hearings were held after proper notice, and after such hearings the recommendations of said report were amended to reflect the desires of the public and the existing land uses and use districts, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED: THAT the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds hereby recommends that the City Council of the City of Edmonds adopt an addition to Chapter 9, Article 1, Section 9-1.07 (commonly referred to as the Comprehensive Zoning Plan of the City of Edmonds) establishing a new use district to be designated as a Highway Border District (HB); that a copy of the proposed Ordinance of amendment, containing all the recommendations of the Planning Commission is attached hereto and made a part hereof, and incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth herein.
