RESOLUTION NO. 171
A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE
DENIAL OF PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY DESIGNATING AS
"COMMERCIAL" THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE
NO. CP-4-66.
WHEREAS, the 18th day of May, 1966, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time
set for public hearing on the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan
Map of the City of Edmonds by designating as "Commercial" the property
legally described as:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the NW 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 29,
T27N, Range 4 East, W.M.; thence East 157 feet to the Point of Beginning;
thence East 180 feet; thence South 216 feet; thence West 178 feet;
thence North 66 feet; thence West 2 feet; thence North 150 feet to the
Point of Beginning; and
WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared
that proper notice and publication had been effected; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of the proposed amendment, it was
determined that designation of "Commercial" on said property would not be
consistent with the most advantageous development and appropriate use of said
property in long-range planning;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the
Official Comprehensive Plan not be amended as proposed herein.
