Resolution 173PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 173 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE DENIAL OF A PETITION TO REZONE FROM RML (MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY) TO CG (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) AND FROM RS-8 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL 83,000 SQ. FT.) TO RML THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-7-66. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS, the matter of amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RML (Multiple Residential Low Density) to CG (General Commercial) and from RS-8 (Single Residential 8,000 Sq. Ft.) to RML the property legally described as: The North 300 feet of the East 66 feet of the West one-half of the Southwest 1/4 of Southeast 1/4 of Southeast 1/4, together with the East 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4, less road, and less the East 1861, all in Section 18, T27N, Range 4 E, W.M. came on for public hearing on the 18th day of May, 1966 at 8:00 p.m.; and WHEREAS, on, the 20th day of April, 1966, date of the first hearing of the matter, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of the proposed amendment, it was determined that such amendment was not in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan for the City of Edmonds, and it having been previously determined that such amendment to the Comprehensive Plan would require a restudy of the whole area with new Comprehensive Plan documentation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds, as described herein, be denied.
