Resolution 174PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 174 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE DENIAL OF A PETITION TO REZONE FROM RS-8 (SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 8,000 SQ. FT.) TO RML (MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-8-66. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ WHEREAS, the 18th day of May, 1966, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RS-8 (Single Residential 81,000 sq. ft.) to RML (Multiple Residential Low Density) certain property located on 76th Ave. W. at 242nd St. S. W., and legally described as: Lots 13 and 14, Block 6, Lake Ballinger Land Company's Plat, Subdivision No. 1, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 9 of Plats, on Pages 57 and 58, records of Snohomish County, Washington; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding neighborhood zoning, it was determined that in the interest of the public health, safety, and welfare, zoning classification of RML would not be con- sistent with the most advantageous development and appropriate use of said property at this time; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RS-8 to RML the herein described property be denied.
