Resolution 176PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 176 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE AMENDMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN MAP OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS BY DESIGNATING AS "MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL" CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED HEREIN, IN ACCORDANCE WITH PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. CP-9-66. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS, the 15th day of June, 1966, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time set for public hearing on the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan Map of the City of Edmonds by designating as "Multi -Family Residential" the property legally described as: That ptn of Govt. Lot 2, Section 24, T27N, R3E, W.M., described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the West line of 6th Ave. No. and the center line of Glen St. as established in the City of Edmonds, which point is 633.55 feet more or less, East and 147.77 feet more or less, North of the quarter corner between sections 23 and 24; thence north 119.7 feet more or less to the NE corner of Edmonds Junior High School Tract and the true point of beginning; thence West along the north line of said tract, 336.3 feet more or less to the easterly line of 4th St. as now established; thence Northerly along said Easterly line 70 ft.; thence East 336.3 ft. more or less to the west line of 6th Ave. No. produced; thence South 70 ft. more or less to the true point of beginning. TOGETHER WITH: All that portion of Government Lot 2, Section 24, T27N, R3E, W.M. defined as beginning on the east line of 6th Ave. No. 90 feet north of the north line of Glen Street in the Plat of Brackett's First Addition to Edmonds; thence North along the east margin of 6th Avenue No. 140 feet; thence easterly 560 feet more or less parallel to said Glen Street to 7th Avenue No.; thence South 140 feet; thence West 560 feet more or less to the point of beginning; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appered that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of the proposed amendment, and existing and proposed zoning, it was determined that in the interest of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of the City of Edmonds, designation of "Multi -Family Residential" on all that property herein described except the West 168 feet of said property lying between 4th Ave. No. and 6th Ave. No., north of the Edmonds Junior High School would be consistent with the most advantageous development and appropriate use of said property, with the excepted property retaining a designation of "Single Family Residential"; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the -2- Official Comprehensive Plan Map of the City of Edmonds be amended by designating as "Multi -Family Residential" the property herein legally described with the exception of the nest 168 feet'of said property lying between 4th Ave. No. and 6th Ave. No., north of the Edmonds Junior High School.
