A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE DENIAL
OF A PETITION TO REZONE FROM RS-20 (SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 20,000 SQ. FT.) TO RS-12
(SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 12,000 SQ. FT.) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING
COMMISSION FILE NO. R-11-66.

WHEREAS, the 15th day'og June, 1966, at 800 p.m*, was the date and time
rat for public hearing ou petition to amend the Official Zoning Hap of the
City of Edmonds by rezoning from RS-20 (Single Residential 20,000 sq. ft.) to
RS-12 (Single Residential 12,000 Sq. Ft.) certain property commonly known as
being bordered on the southwest by Headowdale Beach Road, on the north by
172nd Street S.W., and on the east by 68th Ave. W., legally described as:
Lots 135 and 136, Meadowdale Beach, according to Plat thereof recorded
In Volume 5 of Plats, page 38, records of Snohomish County, Washington;
and
WHERLAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared
that proper notice and publication had been effected;'and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding,
neighborhood zoning, as well as topography and drainage conditions, it was
determined that in the illterest of the public health, safety, and welfare,
zoning of %-]2 would not be consistent with the most advantageous development
and appropriate use of said property at this time;
NOW, T"HERLFRRE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds that recommendation be wade to the City Council of said City that the
petition to wueud the Official Zoning !lap of the City of Edmonds by rezoning
from RS-20 to RS-12 the herein described property be denied.
