OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Planning Commission
that the possibili ty of an alternate route exists to furni sh access to the area at the
northerly edge of the City of Edmonds, and
WHEREAS, the same would intersect with Eighth Avenue projected
at the present time,
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Planning
Commission of the City of Edmonds hereby recommends to the City Council
the following addition to the general comprehensive street plan by amending the
presently existing comprehensive street ordinance:
THAT from Ninth Avenue northwesterly approximately 600 feet to
the point where Eighth Avenue projected would intersect with the same, that the
Edmonds City Council acquire an 8-f oot piece of property along the southerly
edge of Mr. Steed's property, and a 15-foot strip belonging to Jerry Robbins and
abutting the said 8-foot strip to be obtained from Mr. Steed, and a sufficient width
from the Church of God to make a proper street to serve the area lying north and
west thereof, said strip to be obtained f rom the Church of God to be not less than
seven feet or more than 17 feet.
