Resolution 206PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 206 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE AMENDMENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING AMP OF SAID CITY BY REZONING FROM OPEN SPACE (OS) TO MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY (RML) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-26-66. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- WHEREAS, on the 16th day of November, 1966 at 8:00 p.m., there came on for public hearing the matter of amendment to the Official Zoning Map by rezoning from Open Space (OS) to General Commercial (CG) certain property legally described as: The South 160' of Lot 1, Skelton's Lake McAleer Five -Acre Tracts; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of the proposed amendment, with advice from the Edmonds Park Board that the City was not prepared to acquire the site for park purposes at this time, it was determined that a less restrictive use district should be designated for the property; and WHEREAS, it was further determined that commercial use would not be the most appropriate and advantageous development of the property in the interests of good planning, but that Multiple Residential Low Density would best serve these interests; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the city of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds be amended by rezoning from Open Space (OS) to Multiple Residential Low Density (RML) the property herein described.
