A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE DENIAL
OF A PETITION TO REZONE FROM SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 6,000 SW. FT. (RS-6) TO MULTIPLE
RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY (RML) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING
COMISSION FILE NO. R-19-66.
WHEREAS, the lath day of November., 1956, at 800 pose, was the date and
time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of
the City of Edmonds by reaoning from Single Residential 6,000 Sq. Ft. (RS-6)
to Multiple Residential Low Density (M) certain property located on Edmonds
Nay Which is legally described ase
That portion of the ME 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of Section 259
Township 27 N, Range 3 E, N.M., lying Nortbeawterly of paved City road,
more particularly daAaribed as follows
Beginning at the Northeast comer of said XL 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of the
SV 1/4; thence North $80321070 west $16.90 feet to Northeasterly lime
paved City road; thence South 39e032 Fast along said road for 534.9
feet to true point of beginning; thence continuing South 39'059 East
atloag said road line for 80 fost; thence North $0055' East to East
line of said NE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of SW 1/4; thence Borth along said East
line to a point which is North 500550 East of the true point of beginning;
theme* South 50e569 Test to true point of beginning; situate in the
County of Snohomish, State of Washington; and
WHEREAS at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared
that proper notice and publication had been effected; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and surramding
Neighborhood naming, it was determined that in the interest of the public
health, safety, and welfare, zoning classification of Rill. would not be aonsis-
test with the most appropriate vrse of said property at this time, inasmuch as
it would be surrounded on three sides by Single Residential zoning;
NOii, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds that recomosendation be wade to the City Council of said City that the
petition to amrnd the Official Zoning Hap of the City of Edmonds by rezoning
from RS-6 to RML the herein described property be denied.
