RESOLUTION NO. 214
A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE DENIAL
OF A PETITION TO REZONE FROM SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 82000 SQ. FT. (RS-8) TO MULTIPLE
RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY (RML) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING
COMMISSION FILE NO. R-22-66.
WHEREAS, the 16th day of November, 1966, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and
time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of
the City of Edmonds by rezoning from Single Residential 8,000 Sq. Ft. (RS-8)
to Multiple Residential Low Density (RML) certain property located on 17th
Place South legally described as:
Tract 6, Block 1, Alderwood Manor No. 9, Except the South 210 feet
thereof; and
WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared
that proper notice and publication had been effected; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of present existing use and surrounding
neighborhood zoning, it was determined that in the interest of the public
health, safety, and welfare, zoning classification of RML would not be consis-
tent with the most appropriate use of said property at this time, inasmuch as
the existing multiple residential zoning in the area extends beyond the Compre-
hensive Plan as originally conceived, and in as yet undeveloped for such use;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the
petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning
from RS-8 to RML the herein described property be denied.
