Resolution 217PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION N0, 217 A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE DENIAL OF A PETITION TO REZONE FROM SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 8,000 SQ. FT. (RS-8) TO MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL HIGH DENSITY (RMH) AND OPEN SPACE (OS) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-25-66. WHEREAS, the 21st day of December, 1966, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from Single Residential 8,000 Sq. Ft. (RS-8) to Multiple Residential High Density (RMH) that property located on 76th Ave. W. which is legally described as: Lot 14, Block 6, Lake Ballinger Land Company's Plat Subdivision No. 1, together with that portion of vacated Bradley Road adjoining; and to Open Space (OS) that property which is legally described as: Lots 18 and 19, Block 7, Lake Ballinger Land Company's Plat Subdivision No. 1, including shorelands, together with that portion of vacated Bradley Road adjoining; and WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and WHEREAS, after due consideration of present use and surrounding neighborhood zoning, together with poor road conditions and heavy traffic, and existing undeveloped multiple residential zoning in the area, it was determined that rezone as petitioned would not be consistent with the most appropriate use of said property at this time; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds by rezoning from RS-8 to RMH and OS the herein described property be denied.
