RESOLUTION NO. 521
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS TO REZONE
FROM RS-8 (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL 8,000 SQUARE FEET)
TO RD (RESIDENTIAL DUPLEX) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED
IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE #R-5-76.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a
public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning
Map of said City to redesignate certain real property from
RS-8 to RD; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that
the real property described as Lot 3 and Lot 4, Willowbrook
Division #1, as shown on map (Exhibit "A" attached), should
be redesignated; and
WHEREAS, the proposed zoning is consistent with the
general land use of the area; and
WHEREAS, the added number of dwelling units will not
adversly affect the utility or public service systems; and
WHEREAS, the proposed rezone would not be detrimental
to the public health, safety or general welfare; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City that the proposed
amendment to rezone that certain real property described as
Lot 3 and Lot 4, Willowbrook Division #1 as shown on the map
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, from RS-8 (Single Residential
8,000 square feet) to RD (Residential Duplex) be approved.
