RESOLUTION NO. 219
A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE AMEND-
MENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE STREET PLAN OF SAID CITY BY ESTABLISHING HOWELL WAY
FROM 3RD AVE. SO. TO 5TH AVE. SO. AS A 60-FOOT RIGHT-OF-WAY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
ENGINEER'S PLAN PROJECTED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. CP-30-66.

WHEREAS, on the 18th day of January, 1967, the matter of amendment to the
Comprehensive Street Plan of the City of Edmonds by establishing Howell Way
from 3rd Ave. So. to 5th Ave. So. as a 60-foot public right-of-way, came on for
public hearing after being continued from the Planning Commission meeting of
November 16, 1966; and
WHEREAS, on the date of November 16, 1966, and again on January 18, 1967,
it appeared that proper notice and publication had been effected; and
WHEREAS, a previous resolution in the matter recommending a 50' public
right-of-way had been returned by the City Council for reconsideration of a
greater right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of the proposed amendment, as projected
in Engineer's Drawing No. 1.231/14, as revised and presented on the 18th day
of January, 1967, together with consideration of existing and proposed develop-
ment of the area, it was determined that such amendment would serve the best
interests of the citizens of the City of Edmonds in regard to their health,
safety, and welfare;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the
Comprehensive Street Plan for said City be amended by establishing such street
right-of-way for Howell Way as described herein and projected on Engineer's
Drawing No. 1.231/14 dated January 18, 1967.
