RESOLUTION NO. 221
A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE AMEND-
MENT OF THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY BY REZONING FROM SINGLE RESIDENTIAL
8,000 SQ. FT. (RS-8) TO MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY (RML) THAT CERTAIN
PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-29-66.
WHEREAS, an the 18th day of January, 1967, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and time
set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of the City
of Edmonds by rezoning from Single Residential 8,000 Sq. Ft. (RS-8) to Multiple
Residential Low Density (RML) certain property located along 196th S. W. which
is legally described as:
The East 1/2 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southeast
1/4 of Section 18, Township 27 North, Range 4 East, W.M.; also known as
Lots 19 and 20, Maplewood Gardens according to unrecorded plat thereof;
EXCEPT for that portion presently zoned RML; and
WHEREAS, at the recessed meeting of January 19, 1967, on which date the
matter came on for hearing, it appeared that proper notice and publication had
been affected; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of present use and surrounding neighborhood
zoning, it was determined that this property was oriented to 196th S. W. rather
than to the single residential districts adjoining, and could, in fact, be served
only from 196th S. W. through existing multiple residential zoning adjoining and
under the same ownership;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the
Official Zoning Map of the City of Edmondsbeamended by rezoning from RS-8 to
RML the property herein legally described.
