Resolution 224PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION NO. 224
A RESOLUTION TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS THE
DENIAL OF A PETITION TO REZONE FROM SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 8-2000 SQ. FT. (RS-8)
TO MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY (RML) THAT CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED
IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-1-67.
WHEREAS, the 15th day of March, 1967, at 8:00 p.m., was the date and
time set for public hearing on petition to amend the Official Zoning Map of
the City of Edmonds by rezoning from Single Residential 8,000 Sq. Ft. (RS-8)
to Multiple Residential Low Density (RML) that property located on the east
side of 80th Ave. W. at 194th Place S. W. which is legally described as:
Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, Plat of Lawrence Addition; and
WHEREAS, at the time and date fixed for said public hearing, it appeared
that proper notice and publication had been effected; and
WHEREAS, after due consideration of present use and surrounding neighbor-
hood zoning, it was determined that the said property should remain as presently
zoned, it having been found that only about 10% of the existing multiple resi-
dence zone along 196th St. S. W. has been developed in multiple use, and that
there appears to be no economical justification for the rezone;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds that recommendation be made to the City Council of said City that the
hereinabove described request for amendment of the Official Zoning Map of the
City of Edmonds be denied.
DATED as of the 15th day of March, 1967.
