RESOLUTION NO. 230
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
AN AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING HAP OF SAID CITY BY DESIGNATING
AS GENERAL COMMERCIAL (CO) THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING
COMMISSION FILE NO, AZ-1-67 AND ANNEXED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1281,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice ,and publication, held a public hearing
on a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City for
designating the real property described in Planning Commission File.
No. AZ-1-67, and annexed by Ordinance No. 1281, as General Commercial;
and
WHEREAS, having wade the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Coamaission determined that the real
property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should be designated
General Commercial; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is spade to said City Council that
the property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto be so designated
on said document.

Subject property is developed as a ne l&hborbood business according
to the Zoning Ordinance definition and was zoned for General
Commercial in the County. The character of existing de3velopawnt
to the Borth and east corresponds to the Community Business zone.
It is in the public interest to encourages highway -oriented commercial
uses adjoining U. S. 99.

Those Portions of Tracts 1 and 2, Block 32, Hanbury's Sound
View Tracts, according to plat thereof recorded in Volume 3 of
plats„ Page 20, records of Snohomish County, Washington, described
as follows:
(a) The south 125 feet of said Tract 1„ EXCEPT portions
thereof conveyed to the State of Washington for public
road and Highway purposes by deeds filed for record
under auditor's file Leos. 350605 and 895805.
(b) Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Tract 2,
thence north 0015' West along the East line of said
Tract, 125 feet; thence South 89045' West 63 feat; thence
South 0015' East 56 feet; thence Southeasterly, in a
straight lines, to a point on the South line of said
Tract 2 that is 34 feet Westerly of the Southeast corner
thereof; thence Easterly, along the said South line 34 feet
to the point of beginning.
EXCEPT from ;the above described parcels (a) and (b) any portions
thereof lying within they North 175 feet of said Tracts 1 and 2.
Together with the public right -of --way area north of Snohomish County,
King County line known as 244th Street S.Wo lying; south of the above
described tract and all of public right-of-way area known as Primary
State Highway No. 1 lying contiguous to the above described tract
and existing Edmonds City Limits.
