DATED as of the 19th day of July, 1967. v Chairman, Edmonds Planning Commission_ Edmonds City Planner File No.: R-29-66 Initial request by: Earl Stockman Amendment applied for: from RS-8 to RML Date of first hearing: 1/18/67 Recommendation: Approval - returned by City Council for further study Date of second hearing: 7/19/67 Recommendation: Denial Notice of Appeal filed: 7/20/67 Date of expiration of appeal: 8/18/67 EXHIBIT "A" File No. R-29-66 FINDINGS: Very little of the existing RML zone along 196th Street S. W. is developed for apartments. The proposed RML area extends northward to a degree that it cannot be considered as conforming to the Comprehensive Plan designation for multi -family use. The rezoning would not serve any useful purpose and would add to the noise and traffic problems of the area. Many local residents strongly oppose the proposal and believe that such development would reduce the quality of their aingle family area.
