RESOLUTION NO. 244
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID
CITY BY DESIGNATING AS MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCE LOW DENSITY (RML)
THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-8-67.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City for
redesignating the real property described in Planning Commission
File No. R-8-67 from Single Family Residence Medium Density (RS-8)
to Multiple Family Residence Low Density (RML); and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real
property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should not be
redesignated; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council
that the proposed amendment be denied.

The potential exists for four lots on the land just east of the subject tract
and the.only reasonable vehicular access for these lets.is from 76th Avenue
West through the tract proposed for RNh zoning. Until better access is
established, the form of development along 76th Ave. W. should be limited to
single family homesor low -density residential use.
The existing zoning properly reflects the Comprehensive Plan amendment just
adopted by the Planning Commission (CP-7-67).
