Resolution 245PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION N0. 245 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY BY DESIGNATING AS MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENCE LOW DENSITY (RML) THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-9-67. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City for redesignating the real property described in Planning Commission File No. R-9-67 from Single Family Residence High Density (RS-6) to Multiple Family Residence Low Density (RML); and WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should not be redesignated; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council that the proposed amendment be denied. A considerable area of business and apartment zoning has been established on adjoining blocks which are still predominantly single-family, and contain a few vacant parcels. No change has taken place in the area since as earlier rezone application on' this property was denied last year. Many nearby residents oppose the.rezone.
