Resolution 249PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 249 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY TO DESIGNATE AS MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL HIGH DENSITY (RMH) THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-13-67. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City for redesignating the real property described in Planning Commission File No. R-13-67 from Single Residential 12,000 Sq. Ft. (RS-12) and Neighborhood Business (BN) to Multiple Residential High Density (RMH); and WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should not be redesignated; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council that the proposed amendment be denied. The proposal mould also be an inroad into the.RS-12 zone where many fine homes have been built. The intersection of 9th.Ave. and Puget Drive is hazardous because of the number and -arrangement of connecting .streets, and the con- struction of apartments would add to.the hazard. Many residents in the area oppose the rezone proposed.
