Resolution 254PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 254 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING AN AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING ORDINANCE, SECTION 12.13.130, TO REQUIRE A MINIMUM SIDE YARD SETBACK OF 10 FEET IN MULTIPLE RESIDENCE DISTRICTS, AS SET FORTH IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. ZO"4-67. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a proposed amend- ment to Section 12.13.130 of the Official Zoning Ordinance of said City to require a minimum side yard setback of ten feet in Multiple Residence Dis- tricts; and WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that such amendment should be made; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that recom- mendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council that Section 12.13.130 of the Official Zoning Ordinance be so amended. A ten foot side yard require- ment will improve the site development for apartment projects and will significantly reduce the fire hazard caused by the close proximity of buildings.
