EXHIBIT "A"
This street is one of the major entrances into Edmonds, and as such
deserves special consideration in its design and visual characteristics.
Improving the street's visual characteristics requires a slightly widened
right-of-way for tree plantings or some other form of entrance treat-
ment. Such improvement promotes the City's unique identity to the
motoring public and encourages civic spirit. The City has established
no boulevards, parkways, or scenic drives of any type, and this is a
significant deficiency in planning for a good quality community.
