RESOLUTION NO. 260
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID
CITY TO DESIGNATED AS MULTIPLE RESIDENCE LOW DENSITY (RML) THAT PROPERTY
DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-19-67.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City for
redesignating the real property described in Planning Commission
File No. R-19-67 from Single Residential 8,000 Square Feet to
Multiple Residential Low Density; and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real
property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should not be
redesignated; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council
that the proposed amendment be denied.

EXHIBIT "A"
An extensive area of apartment zoning has been established in this
area east of U. S. 99, Yet no apartment construction has occurred
during the past 3-1/2 years since the zoning was established. Until
the existing zones are significantly developed and until the Compre—
hensive Plan is revised to reflect a need for additional apartment
zoning, the subject tract should remain as a single family area.
