RESOLUTION NO. 261
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID
CITY TO DESIGNATE AS MULTIPLE RESIDENCE LOW DENSITY (RML) THAT PROPERTY
DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-20-67.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City for
redesignating the real property described in Planning Commission
File No. R-20-67 from Single Residential 8,000 Square Feet to Multiple
Residence Low Density (RML); and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real
property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should not be
redesignated; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council
that the proposed amendment be denied.

The rezone is premature at this time because there are several acres
of vacant, apartment zoned property within the immediate vicinity.
Adequate utilities are not available at the present time. A similar
proposal for this property was denied about a year ago.

Lot 5 platted as Rowes Addition No. 2 and Except that portion of
Lots 5 and 6 now zoned as RML.
