RESOLUTION NO. 263
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING AN
AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING ORDINANCE, SECTION 12.13.130, TO INCREASE
THE PARKING RATIO FOR APARTMENTS TO 1.75 SPACES PER DWELLING UNIT, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. ZO-5-67.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to Section 12.13.130 of the Official Zoning
Ordinance of said City to increase the parking ratio for apartments
to 2.00 spaces per dwelling unit; and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the Official
Zoning Ordinance, Section 12.13.130, should be amended to require a
parking ratio of 1.75 spaces per dwelling unit; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council
that Section 12.13.130 of the Official Zoning Ordinance be so amended.

to reduce street congestion in apartment areas and to facilitate
the smooth flow of traffic.
