DATED as of the 20th day of March, 1968. ti Chairman, Edmonds PlanfiriA Commission Edmonds City Planner File No.: CP-8-67 Initial Request by: Sierra Village Committee Reconsideration Request by: Edmonds City Council Date of this hearing: March 20, 1968 Date of expiration of appeal period: April 18, 1968 Resolution No. 268 EXHIBIT -"AN The petition calls for a reversal of the thinking on Which the Comprehensive Plan is based; however, the original basis for the Plan for the subject residential area is still valid and adequate. Con- sidering the number of apartment building permits which have been issued in the subject area along 196th Street S. W., the area Will be developed predominantly as an apartment area regardless of the proposed change to single family use. Grahting the petition would, therefore, create a significant number of non-conferaing uses. Such a major change to the Comprehensive Plan would shake public confidence in the Plan.
