EXHIBIT -"AN
The petition calls for a reversal of the thinking on Which the
Comprehensive Plan is based; however, the original basis for the Plan
for the subject residential area is still valid and adequate. Con-
sidering the number of apartment building permits which have been
issued in the subject area along 196th Street S. W., the area Will be
developed predominantly as an apartment area regardless of the proposed
change to single family use. Grahting the petition would, therefore,
create a significant number of non-conferaing uses. Such a major
change to the Comprehensive Plan would shake public confidence in the
Plan.
