RESOLUTION NO. 270
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID
CITY TO DESIGNATE AS MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL HIGH DENSITY (RMH) THAT
PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-2-68 AND PRESENTLY
ZONED SINGLE RESIDENTIAL 6,000 SQ. FT. (RS-6).
WHEREAS, the planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Hap of said City for
redesignating the real property described in Planning Commission File
No. R-2-68 from Single Residential 66000 Sq. Ft. (RS-6) to Multiple
Residential High Density (RMH)9 and
WHEREAS, having; wade the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real
property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should not be
redesignated, now, therefore,
U IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and tits same hereby is made to said City Council
that the proposed amendment be denied.

EXHIBIT "A"
There is at present no apparent need for additional multiple resi-
dential stoning in the subject area. Several blocks of apartment
zoning have been established west of 6th Avenue, and less than 15%
of this zone has been developed with apartments. Sixth Avenue
should be maintained as the logical boundary between the RS-6 and
RMH zones.
