A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID
CITY TO DESIGNATE EITHER AS COMMUNITY BUSINESS (BC) OR NEIGHBORHOOD
BUSINESS (BN) THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO.
R-16-67.
&iEMAS, the Pl&ming Cammission of the City of Edmonds, at
the request of the City Council of said City reconsidered in public
meeting a propoe ed amendment to the Officuil Zoning Map of said City
for redesinating the real property d"—cribed in Planning Cawaimion
File 140. R 16-6 7 fr M 1 katiple Residence 1 U gh Density (Z40 to
Neighborhood Business M4 rather than Coammi ty Business (SC) as
originally requested and cmv idered; and
viU AS, Laving made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Coaraissi.on determined that the reel
property deesm bed in Ezdiibit "B" attadwd hereto should not be
redesignated either Ccmanity Business or iusiness; now
therefore,

zones because of the separation of this site from. the Corwunity Business
zoned areas of the Central Business District. Good quality aparvrents
have been built on two sides of the site, and the present zoning; will
preserve a residential environment along Alder Street.
