RESOLUTION NO. 287
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
AN AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY BY DESIGNATING
AS MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL LOW DENSITY (RML) THAT PROPERTY PRESENTLY
ZONED GENERAL COMMERCIAL (CG) AND LEGALLY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING
COMMISSION FILE NO. R-11-68.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City for
redesignating the real property described in Planning Commission
File No. R-11-68 from General Ccmercial (CG) to Multiple Residential
Law Density (RML); and
WIBEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real
property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should be designated
Multiple Residential Low Density (RML); now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council that
the property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto be so designated
on said document.

A portion of the applicant's property is already zoned RML, and
the proposal would be a natural expansion of the existing zone. The
proposed change would also benefit the City's developnent in that it
would reduce the apt of commercial zoned area along U. S. Highway
99.
All that portion of the following described property presently zoned
General Crcial (OG):
The Vest 236.96 feet of the South 1/2 of Lot 29, Skelton's Lake
McAleer 5 Acre Tracts, except the South 30' for road, records of
Snohomish County, Washington.
