RESOLUTION NO. 289
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID
CITY TO REZONE FROM GENERAL COMMERCIAL (CG) TO MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL
HIGH DENSITY (RMH)-THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE
NO. R-12-68.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City to
redesignate the real property described in Planning Commission File
No. R-12-68 from General Commercial (CG) to Multiple Residential
High Density (RMH); and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real
property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should not be
redesignated; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council
that the proposed amendment be denied.

Most of the multiple residence areas established in the Ballinger
District permit low density apartment development, and it is not
desirable to encourage high density apartments because of inadequate
streets.
EXHIBIT "B"
Beginning at a point 200 feet east of intersection of East line of
State Road #1 and South line of Lot 15, thence north at right angles
100 feet; thence east to a point 30 feet west of east line of Lot
17; thence to a point 100 feet south of north line of Lot 17; thence
east 150 feet to east line of Lot 18; thence south to the southeast
corner of Lot 18; thence west approximately 268 feet to the Point of
Beginning; all in Block 2, Fruitland Acres, Snohomish County, Washington.
