Resolution 292PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 292 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING THE DENIAL OF A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP OF SAID CITY TO ESTABLISH A STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY MIDWAY BETWEEN 9TH AVE, SOUTH AND LOTH AVENUE SOUTH EXTENDING NORTHERLY FROM ELM STREET, AS SET FORTH IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. ST-3-68. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a proposal to amend the Official Street Map of the City of Edmonds by establishing a street right-of-way midway between 9th Ave. So. and loth Avenue South which would extend in a northerly direction from Elm Street to a point ending approximately 800 feet north of Elm Street or on a line of the north boundary of Tract #45, Onavue Park, unrecorded; and WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the Official Street Map should not be so amended; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that recommendation be and the same hereby is made to the City Council of the City of Edmonds that the proposal to amend the Official Street Map as set forth herein be denied. The establishment of the proposed street would encourage the creation of eight lots of about 11,000 square feet in area, which is a thousand feet short of the minimum size. The Planning Commission does not wish to encourage the creation of such substandard lots.
