RESOLUTION NO. 293
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING
AN AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF SAID CITY TO DESIGNATE AS
MULTIPLE RESIDENTIAL HIGH DENSITY (RMH) THAT PROPERTY PRESENTLY ZONED
PUBLIC USE AND LEGALLY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. R-15-68.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds,
pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on
a proposed amendment to the Official Zoning Map of said City for
redesignating the real property described in Planning Commission
File No. R-15-68 from Public Use to Multiple Residential High Density
(RMH); and
WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real
property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should be designated
Multiple Residential High Density (RMH); now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that
recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council
that the property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto be so
designated on said document.

EXHIBIT !'A"
The subject property was sold by the City to a Church. The
Zoning Ordinance contains no text to guide the. development of "Public"
zoned property. The application of the Public zone to private property
is an improper use of the police power. RMH zoning surrounds the
subject property on all four sides.

Lots 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and the East 15 feet of Lot 29, Block 121,
City of Edmonds, accarding to the Plat thereof recorded in Volume
2, Page 39, records of Snohomish County, Washington.
