Resolution 295PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 295 A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS RECOMMENDING THE AMENDMENT OF THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN MAP OF SAID CITY BY REDESIGNATING FROM MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL THAT PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PLANNING COMMISSION FILE NO. CP-2-68. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Edmonds, pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public hearing on a petition to amend the Comprehensive Land Use Plan Map of the said City to redesignate the real property described in Planning Commission File No. CP-2-68 from Multi -Family Residential to Single -Family Residential; and WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the real property described in Exhibit "B" attached hereto should be redesignated Single -Family Residential; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of said City that recommendation be and the same hereby is made to said City Council that the proposed amendment be approved. Recommend: Approval Date of Hearing: November 20, 1968 Resolution Ho. 295 EXHIBIT "A" The subject area is zoned RS-6 and is developed with good quality single-family homes. Only a small portion of the area is vacant. East/west streets within the area are substantially substandard in width, and multiple residence development would disrupt the traffic pattern of the area. Within the foreseeable future, single family residential use is the best type of development for this subject area. EXHIBIT "B" The easterly 150 feet, more Or less, of the area designated on the Comprehensive band Use Plan of the City of Edmonds as Multi -Family Residential which lies on the east side of Fifth Avenue South beginning at a point about 100 feet north of the northerly edge of Holly Drive and running southerly to Pine Street.
