W. and 175th Street S. W.; and WHEREAS, having made the findings set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, the Planning Commission determined that the Official Street Map should be amended by establishing a 22.9-foot wide street on the location of an existing 22.9-foot wide private access easement located half way between 173rd Street S. W. and 175th Street S. W., extending westward for a distance of 763.85 feet from the center line of 76th Avenue W. to the west edge of the proposed street, then turning northward for a distance of 163.85 feet and terminating with a turn- around, all as depicted in Exhibit "B" attached hereto: Now be it RESOLVED, That recommendation be and the same hereby is made to the City Council of the City of Edmonds that the Official Street Map of said City be so amended. DATED as of the 15th day of January, 1969. C airman, Edmonds Planning Commission Edmonds City Planter File No.: ST-6-68 Initial Request by: Planning Department Date of Hearing: January 15, 1969 Resolution No. 307 EXHIBIT "A" The area around the proposed street is partially developed. Four residents presently use the existing 22.9-foot access ease- ment, while an adjoining area is available for the construction of about six new homes. A public street with a pavement construc- ted to City standards would provide vehicular access of a quality superior to that of the existing easement with its 10-foot wide pavement. Without improved vehicular access, it would be poor practice for the City to allow new home construction and land subdivisions along this existing easement.
