RESOLUTION NO. 612
A RESOLUTION TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT REZONE FROM P.ESIDENTIAL
MULTIPLE LOW DENSITY (RML) TO NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS (BN), THE
PROPERTY AT 8301-212TH STREET S.W. AS SET FORTH IN FILE R-11-78
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Edmonds pursuant to proper notice and publication, held a public
hearing on a proposal to rezone from RML to BN, the property
at 8301-212th Street S.W., and
WHEREAS, this site is more desirable for limited
commercial development than for a multi -family residential
development; and
WHEREAS, this change of zoning would be consistent
with the general direction of the Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, the uses proposed under the contract rezone
would be consistent with the use to the west and compatible with
the uses to the north, east and south, and
WHEREAS, said amendment is necessary to promote the
public health, safety and general welfare, and
WHEREAS, there is a finding of no significant adverse
environmental impact on the proposed amendment; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission recommends
and forwards to the City Council of said City, that the proposed
contract rezone as set forth in File #R-11-78, be approved.
